Celebrate Duarte’s 67th anniversary during the City Picnic on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Encanto Park. There, enjoy live entertainment, special carnival rides and attractions, a classic and custom car show, boutique vendors, and a few anniversary surprises.

“Duarte has seen some incredible growth and change over the past 67 years, and I am thrilled to celebrate our city’s anniversary at one of my favorite events of the year,” said Duarte Mayor Vinh Truong. “The City Picnic is a great opportunity for friends and neighbors to come together to honor our roots and celebrate our bright future ahead. I’m appreciative of the chance to serve the Duarte community, whose spirit has made our city so deserving of celebration.”

This year’s picnic will be headlined by the Ace Band, who will have you on your feet as they cover music spanning the last four decades. The free family-friendly play area will feature carnival ride attractions, a bubble party, caricature portraits, a balloon artist, and interactive games.

Teat yourself to a variety of food options available for purchase from local restaurants, food trucks, and boutique vendors. For those of age, pair your meal with a refreshing beverage from the on-site beer garden.

Finally, cruise through this year’s bigger-than-ever Route 66 inspired Classic Car Show featuring all kinds of classic cars. From lowriders and hot rods to cars currently being built, residents and guests are welcome to check out all the iconic vehicles lined up on the park grounds.

Attendees are encouraged to park at Encanto Park (751 Encanto Parkway) or on side streets where parking is available and permitted.

For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (626) 357-7931.
