Burbank Vice Mayor Nikki Perez has been appointed as the chair of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Regional Housing Trust, the city announced this week. The trust provides funding for housing initiatives for families with extremely low to moderate incomes and also homeless individuals, according to the city’s announcement. The BGPRHT was established under state legislation authored by Sen. Anthony Portantino in 2022 to address housing insecurity within the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena region by providing sustainable and supportive housing for the area’s most vulnerable residents.
Monrovia to accept applications for residential rehab grants
The application period opens Monday for a Monrovia grant program that helps pay for residential property repairs and upgrades, officials announced Friday. State-of-the art Fire Station 81 opens to serve Fontana
The San Bernardino County Fire Department and the city of Fontana recently held a grand opening of Fire Station 81. The $8.2 million state-of-the-art facility is strategically located in the north end of the city and is designed to keep pace with providing emergency response services for the city’s increasing population and development needs, according to a San Bernardino County statement.
