ALERT DAY: Thursday afternoon severe weather possible - Blaise

WHAT WE'RE TRACKING :

• Storms push east, followed by patchy fog
• Heat and humidity slowly ending
• Scattered showers/storms next week

PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: A low pressure system will slowly move east of the area this evening. An isolated severe thunderstorm is possible, at least through sunset. All severe weather hazards are going to be possible but strong winds and heavy rain will be the main threats. A brief, weak tornado can not be ruled out as well, especially along the cold front. The severe weather threat will end between 9-11pm Thursday. Patchy fog is possible overnight as storms completely come to an end, with muggy low temperatures near 70 degrees. Friday is looking dry, warm, and still on the humid side, with highs well into the 80s.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : It will remain warm and humid through Sunday. After some late day and overnight storms Sunday, cooler and less humid air will fill into southern Wisconsin. Temperatures will cool off/become more seasonal throughout next week with scattered chances for showers and thunderstorms as well.
