Other Guys Burgers expands into Hibbing

HIBBING—A restaurant with roots in Virginia has expanded to the west this spring, opening a second location in Hibbing.

In June 2021 Keith Altobelli and Sara Bevan opened Other Guys Burgers at 5465 Mountain Iron Drive in Virginia, with a simple goal in mind, “to make fresh burgers better than anyone else,” Keith noted.

On May 30 of this year, they opened a second location opened in the Graysher Shopping Center at 2508 E. Beltline, in Hibbing. While much of their business remains take out or delivery, the new location offers more room for in-house dining.

With the success experienced at the Virginia location, they had wanted to expand for a while.

“We’ve been waiting a while for the help situation to improve a little bit,” Keith said.

Both locations offer fresh hand pattied hamburgers made to order with your choice of toppings on a bakery bun, fresh fries cut from potatoes, along with some specialty menu items such as chili cheese fries and pizza burgers (mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce and pepperoni on top of a fresh burger patty). The menu includes chicken strips and chicken sandwiches, a veggie sandwich, and beverages including shakes and sodas.

Since opening the couple has made it a point to use as many local vendors as possible.

There are currently 15 employees at the Hibbing location and about a dozen at the Virginia location, Keith said.

“We’re always looking for the right people,” Sara said, adding they are mainly looking for cooks right now.

Other Guys Burgers is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily for dine in or takeout. Delivery is also available in Virginia, Hibbing and outlying areas. More information is available at otherguyshibbing.com or otherguysburgers.com.
