Victory 5K Committee Presents Donation to Project Care Free Clinic - Hibbing

HIBBING—Representatives from Victory Christian Academy, Baron’s Pharmacy, and the Victory 5K Committee gathered today to present a donation to Project Care Free Clinic-Hibbing.

The donation was a percentage of proceeds from VCA’s Victory 5k race, held on April 27th, and attended by over 200 runners from across the Northland.

Tiffany Schleppergrell, Executive Director of Project Care—Hibbing gave a tour to the 5K committee and VCA staff, highlighting the services project care provides including basic medical care, labs & diagnostics, diabetic programs, mental health, physical therapy, and immunizations.

Scheppergrell noted that Project Care provides these free health care services to those who are underinsured or uninsured in the area. Project Care does not charge for office visits and assists patients in obtaining affordable prescriptions. For every $48 raised to Project Care, the cost of one patient’s labs, x-rays, and office visit are covered.

Allan Reini, Victory Christian Academy administrator stated that VCA was “Very pleased to be here in support of Project Care. We are thankful for our Presenting Sponsor, Baron’s Pharmacy, for our Victory Sponsors, Anchor Tax & Abundant Life Church, and for all the corporate & personal sponsors, racers, and volunteers who brought this event to our community.”

“But mostly, we are here today to recognize Project Care,” he added. “ What you do for our community cannot be measured in dollars and cents, yet it takes countless hours & dollars to make it happen. So, it is with that in mind that we gratefully present you with this check for $2, 250.00, in the hope that it will help toward continuing to do the fantastic and important work that you do.”
