STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Islanders should expect at least one more bout of extreme heat this summer, according to AccuWeather senior meteorologist Tyler Roys. “This is the prime time for a heat wave to occur,” Roys said. “The average temperature expected, or the historical average that’s expected for a high for this time of year is 85 and that runs from just after July 4 all the way through into early August.
