1 killed in Roseland stabbing, Chicago police say
A person was stabbed to death in the Roseland neighborhood Monday morning, Chicago police said.The incident occurred at about 12:33 a.m. in the 300-block of East 115th Street.ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watchPolice said a male victim was outside of a vehicle with a male suspect and a female suspect when a verbal altercation turned physical.The male suspect who was the driver of the vehicle took out a cutting instrument and stabbed the male victim, who was a passenger, in the chest, police said.The victim was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not released his identity.The two suspects fled the scene in a beige Toyota Corolla, police said.No one is in custody and Area Two detectives are investigating.

Shooting shut downs portion of Bishop Ford Freeway at Michigan Avenue
CHICAGO (CBS) — One person was injured in an expressway shooting on the Bishop Ford Freeway Monday morning. Just before 5:15 a.m., Illinois State Police said shots were fired at Michigan Avenue, hitting a car in the northbound lanes. The driver, of the vehicle hit by gunfire, suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. All northbound lanes are closed. Police are investigating.

Thieves use pick axe, sledgehammer to break into CBD dispensary on Chicago's North Side, second break-in reported minutes later
CHICAGO (CBS) — Thieves used a pick axe and a sledgehammer to break into a CBD dispensary in Lincoln Park early Monday morning. A second break-in was reported minutes later on the same block. Surveillance video captured five people breaking into the store near Lincoln and Webster avenues around 3:30 a.m. The store owner told CBS News Chicago they stole the cash register and between $4,000 and $5,000 worth of products. Chicago police said the group got away in silver and black cars.No arrests have been made. A second business, a vape shop just a few doors down, was broken into just minutes later. Police found merchandise on the floor.This is the second time in recent weeks this business was broken into overnight. It is not clear if the two break-ins were connected. Police are investigating.
Gunmen rob 2 Family Dollar stores in 20 minutes on NW Side
CHICAGO — Armed men robbed two Family Dollar stores in under 30 minutes on Sunday evening, one in Avondale and the other in Albany Park. No arrests have been made. The men first targeted the store at 3411 West Addison at about 8:35 p.m. The police said one of them displayed a handgun while demanding money from the clerks, who complied.

Woman grazed by bullet in downtown Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — A woman was shot in The Loop early Monday morning. Just before 2 a.m., police said a 24-year-old woman was standing on the sidewalk, 200 block of South Wabash Avenue, when shots were fired from a white SUV. The victim suffered a graze wound to her leg. She was taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition. No arrests have been made.
