Blaise Zuschlag will finish out the term of his late father Richard Zuschlag on the LSU Board of Supervisors, Gov. Jeff Landry announced Friday. Richard Zuschlag, who founded and was chairman and CEO of powerhouse medical transport company Acadian Companies, died in June from complications following cancer treatment. His term as board member-at-large ends May 31, 2028.

Dr. Wyche T. Coleman appointed as deputy surgeon general of Louisiana
SHREVEPORT, La. - Louisiana has a new deputy surgeon general. Dr. Wyche T. Coleman III is an ophthamologist and cataract surgeon with Willis Knighton Eye Institute. Coleman grew up in Louisiana. He studied at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Coleman completed his medical education and ophthalmology residency there. His clinical expertise includes advanced cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK, and the management of chronic eye conditions.
