Detention officer terminated after off-duty arrest for sexual assault
PHARR, Texas — A 19-year-old detention officer has been terminated following his arrest for sexual assault, according to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office. Sebastian Rodriguez, of Pharr, Texas, was arrested by the Pharr Police Department on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Rodriguez was not on duty at the time of his arrest, the sheriff's office confirmed.

The 25-year-old was last seen yesterday morning around 9:00 AM near the 2100 block of West Sixth Street in Weslaco.
