IBWC head tells South Texas leaders Mexico will send ‘some water’
U.S. International Boundary and Water Commissioner Maria-Elena Giner met privately this week in the Rio Grande Valley with local leaders and told them that Mexico does intend to send some water it owes to South Texas, but leaders tell Border Report they worry it won't be enough as the region and farmers suffer.
POLICE: Suspect in custody after high-speed chase through Whitehouse, Tyler and Chapel Hill
WHITEHOUSE, Texas — A suspect is now in custody after a alleged forgery attempt at a Whitehouse bank turned into a high-speed chase. Tasha Hudson, 35, has been arrested after a police pursuit ended near Chapel Hill. According to Smith County Sheriff's Office, Whitehouse police were called to the Southside Bank in Whitehouse for a potential forgery. When officers arrived, Hudson fled the scene and a pursuit began.
