State champs square off in scrimmage

Two former state championship teams squared off Monday night as East Forsyth hosted a scrimmage against Grimsley in preparation for what both are expecting to be successful seasons.

The Whirlies won their first Class 4-A state championship in the 2020-21 season, their first since the 1960 season, which was two years before the school changed its name from Greensboro High to Grimsley.
