    RANDOLPH COUNTY — Talk about a blast from the past.

    You should’ve seen all the excitement at the High Point Hospital on the afternoon of Nov. 1, 1929, when Randleman Police Chief Charles W. Myers was rushed there from his home in Randleman. The veteran officer’s right eye was missing, and his horrifically lacerated face and neck looked as if he had shaved that morning with a piece of barbed wire.
