Library adds social services workers

HIGH POINT — In their new jobs at the High Point Public Library, Eric Hector II and Emily Paparello may not help residents check out books, but the services they provide are essential, according to city officials.

Paparello, a social worker, and Hector, a certified peer support specialist, were brought in in response to the growing demands on the library that go beyond its traditional roles.
