On the morning of July 21, 2024, Katrinka Sylvia Sipling, 68, of Abbottstown, PA, entered glory land while in her home surrounded by her loved ones.Katrinka lived most of her life in Hanover, PA and surrounding towns. As a young girl she enjoyed playing baseball with her brothers. Later in life she enjoyed going to carnivals, playing Bingo, lottery tickets, going on walks, and junking with her son and grandson. She also liked watching football but what she loved most, was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Christina Sipling, Joseph Sipling and wife Geney, Brian Sipling and wife Gwen, and Melissa Sipling; grandchildren, Miah Blizzard and wife Anne, Zachary Sipling, Devin Sipling, Wyatt Sipling, Shayla Sipling, Dakota Esteep and husband Justin, Katie Sipling, Alexis Sipling, and Maddie Sipling; great-grandchildren, Austin and Ashton Blizzard, Jaxson and Adelyn Wenger, and Nollin Esteep; siblings, Jan Lehigh and wife Lisa, Timmy Lehigh, Terry Lehigh, Bev Lehigh, Sandy Lehigh, and Connie Montanari; along with many nieces and nephews of the Lehigh family whom she deeply loved.She was preceded in death by her mom, Irene Sylvia Lehigh and siblings, Earl, Jeff, Barry, Gordon, Brenda, and Ann Lehigh.Katrinka had a true love not only for people but animals as well. Obituary: Charles ‘Chuck’ Comer
Harles E. âChuckâ Comer, 93 formerly of Fairfield, PA passed away at his home in Frisco, Texas on July 16, 2024. Born May 05, 1931 in Ladiesburg, Maryland, he was the son of the late Edward F. & Marie Pauline (Starner) Comer. Chuck is survived by his wife, Carol M. Comer, four children, Stanley and his wife Marsha, A. Dawn and her husband Michael, Michael and his wife Angela and Matthew and his wife Suzanne, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Glenda Coppage and her husband Dick and Iris Rieck and his sister-in-law, Mary Mahan and her husband Larry. He was predeceased a brother, Gary Miller and sister-in-law, Nancie Domin. Chuck worked as a professional bartender for 35 years at the former Fairfield Inn and Pimlico Hotel. He owned and operated Chuck Comerâs Preventive Maintenance for many years. Chuck was a member of St. Anthonyâs Shrine Catholic Church in Emmitsburg, MD, life member of the Knights of Columbus (4th degree) and served as a volunteer with the Adams County Drug and Alcohol Counseling and the Maryland Counseling Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Gettysburg with Fr. Michael Pray, Celebrant. A private interment will follow the Mass in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30-11:00 AM. The Comer family would like to thank Josephine Onditi and Lana Hawley for providing excellent and compassionate nursing care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325 or Catholic Charities, 2050 Ballenger Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22314.
