GOP adopts education platform that follows Florida’s lead
The big story: The national Republican platform this year is looking an awful lot like Florida’s playbook when it comes to education policy. A popular consumer advice website released a report on the best and worst school systems, and Florida ranked among the top 12. According to WalletHub.com’s study, the top states with the best school systems were Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and Wisconsin. Florida came in at number 11. States with the worst school systems were New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arizona, Alaska, and Louisiana.
