City seeking Richmond residents to serve on new Richmond Civilian Review Board
Applications are sought from persons interested in serving as members of the newly established Richmond Civilian Board, as per city code. Members of this eight-person Board will serve three-year terms. They will play a vital role in reviewing, investigating, and making recommendations to Richmond City Council, the Mayor, and the Chief of Police on specific internal Richmond Police Department investigations. Two Washington Scholars and four Alvey Scholars will be among the thousand incoming Eagles at the University of Mary Washington in fall 2024. The students earned full-ride scholarships, which are renewable for four years of undergraduate studies with GPA and residential requirements.
