Former Miranda’s owner indicted on several felonies and misdemeanors in Madison

A May 24 Madison County Grand Jury direct-indicted Miranda Ashley Durrer-Davis of Barboursville, who owned Miranda’s Restaurant on N. Main Street until the commonwealth padlocked the doors in late April.
Charlottesville Police Investigate Possible Murder/Suicide Attempt
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – On July 4, 2024, at 1:30 PM, Charlottesville Police officers responded to a welfare check at 301 Monte Vista Avenue. Upon arrival, officers met with a family member of the residents. Inside the home, they discovered 81-year-old Brenda Lois Lambert deceased from a gunshot wound. Additionally, 85-year-old James Marvin Shea, Jr. was found with serious injuries. Police say evidence suggests the incident was a planned suicide by the couple.
