LaRue Street in Reeds Spring gets needed repairs
The city of Reeds Spring approved $104,000 of repairs to a road which has been a thorn in the side of drivers for years because of its poor condition. Work began on La Rue Street in Reeds Spring on June 3, 2024 and by the first week of July was given two coats of chip and seal. Additionally, to the improvements to the road itself, ditches were dug on the side of the road for water control.

The Branson Police Department recently reported on online scams and offer ways to counter scammers, according to a Branson government press release. (Branson, MO 7/12/2024) Branson Police report that over the past several months, elderly residents of Branson, and in the region, have reported being victims of online scams. The scams typically start with the victims receiving unsolicited emails or telephone calls from scammers claiming to be tech support associated with INTUIT, Norton Antivirus, or United States Federal Agents. The scammers will attempt to gain the victims’ confidence and will work to isolate their victims from family, friends -- and especially law enforcement.
