Mo. DNR awards $50K to Delta for wastewater system improvements
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - The City of Delta was awarded a grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to evaluate the city’s wastewater system. The grant, which totals $50,000, is part of the DNR’s Clean Water Engineering Report Grant program, according to a release. This program offers funding to small communities for wastewater engineering costs incurred in preparation of a facility plan report.

Two detained after Branson shooting
The Branson Police Department has two people in custody after a shooting incident on Tuesday, July 16, near Victorian Village. Branson police received a call around 10:45 a.m. from a witness who stated they saw a shooting near the intersection of Shepherd of the Hills Expressway and Little Pete Road. The witness was able to give a description of the suspect’s vehicle to police, and within seconds of dispatchers sending the information to patrol officers, an officer spotted the vehicle at Country Mart on Highway 248 and detained the suspects.
