JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 16, 2024 - Tisha Holden, a division information officer with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Office of Communications, has been selected as the department’s Team Member of the Month for July 2024. She was selected for her service to the department and her willingness to assist Missouri State Parks beyond the scope of her job duties.

1 dead in 3-vehicle collision, shutting down I-435
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Just before 11 p.m. on Monday, July 15, Kansas City police responded to a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 435 and Bannister Road. Police said a blue Kawasaki motorcycle was speeding southbound on I-435 when it struck the right rear corner of a white Ford Edge, causing the Kawasaki driver to lose control.
One More Day of Heat Wave
The heat wave will last one more day before we get a break in the high temperatures. A heat advisory will be in effect for southeast Kansas, most of Oklahoma, southern Missouri and all of Arkansas today. The advisories start between 11 and 1 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m. Coffeyville is expected to see a high of 99 with a heat index up to 109 today.
