In a new document submitted to the federal court, he utilizes his life story, including anecdotes about childhood bullying and his Olympic swimming ambitions to promote himself as "promising young man" who doesn't deserve to be punished. He faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.
Lake City crash kills Wellborn woman, injures 1
A 66-year-old Wellborn woman died and a 41-year-old Lake City man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision in Lake City on Thursday afternoon. According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, a 66-year-old Wellborn woman driving a sedan was driving westbound on Baya Drive east of Lochlynn Terrace at 3:25 p.m. when she drifted over the centerline and struck a 41-year-old Lake City man driving a pickup eastbound head-on.
