Following three consecutive Hops wins to open the series, I guess it was just Everett’s time.

The AquaSox scored seven runs over the game’s first four innings en route to an 8-2 win on Friday night, Aug. 9, at Hillsboro Ballpark.

Everett lead-off hitter Michael Arroyo homered in the game’s opening at-bat, and from there the visiting Sox roughed up Hillsboro starting pitcher Roman Angelo, ushering the righthander from the game after allowing four earned runs over just 1.2 innings.

To the contrary, Everett starting pitcher Shaddon Peavyhouse was in control for much of the night, throwing seven innings and allowing two earned runs over seven innings of work.

Arroyo finished 3-for-5 with his homer, two RBI and three runs scored.

Bill Knight added a home run for the Sox as well.

Jack Hurley had three hits for Hillsboro, while new Hop Jackson Feltner continued his hot hitting since arriving in Hillsboro Aug. 6, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Feltner is 6-for-17 with a home run and five RBI since joining Hillsboro.

The Hops and AquaSox will face off again at 7:05 p.m. this evening at Hillsboro Ballpark.
