As students head back to school in San Antonio, others may opt for virtual learning
SAN ANTONIO — It's back-to-school time in San Antonio, and while many students will return to class in-person, others will head online. For some children, that will be Texas Connections Academy @ Houston. The online program operates as an approved Houston Independent School District campus charter school and its accredited through HISD. According to its Executive Director Darla Gardner, 7,300 students are currently enrolled statewide with 450 students in the San Antonio area.

Governor Abbott Announces Music-Friendly Workshop in Mexia to Boost Texas Music Industry
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has teamed up with various entities to kick-off a Music Friendly Texas Community workshop set for August 27 in Mexia. The initiative, which promotes the economic benefits of the music industry, is a partnership between the Texas Music Office (TMO), the City of Mexia, the Mexia Economic Development Corporation, and Mexia Downtown.
