HILLSBORO, W.Va. (WBOY) — A man has been charged after allegedly making race-based threats toward people at a residence in Pocahontas County.

On July 7, troopers with the Pocahontas County detachment of the West Virginia State Police along with deputies from the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of Hillsboro for a call of ongoing harassment and assault, according to a criminal complaint.

When troopers arrived at a residence on Clark Street, they met with a victim who said that Roy Walker, 58, of Hillsboro, “continually harassed” multiple victims “by using profane language and racial slurs,” troopers said.

The victim stated that Walker said, ‘F*** you, f*** your family,’ and ‘You’ll get what’s coming to you,’ while also making “continued use of the ‘N’ word and threats” due to some of the victims “being ‘black and brown people’,” according to the complaint.

When troopers spoke with Walker, “who was extremely intoxicated and confrontational,” they advised him to “return to his home and desist using racial slurs or loud, boisterous language,” troopers said.

However, when troopers returned to their vehicle, Walker “yelled ‘I’ll shoot all you f***ing cops’,” while making “multiple statements of like nature,” before Walker “stated, ‘Trespass on my property, you’re dead n*****’,” which troopers believed were directed toward them, according to the complaint.

Walker has been charged with two counts of terroristic acts and one count of prohibiting violations of an individual’s civil rights. He is being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $20,000 cash bond.
