DUNBAR, W.Va. (WCHS) — Two state agencies are partnering for an erosion mitigation project at a Kanawha County veterans’ cemetery. The West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance and Division of Highways are working to protect burial sites at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, according to a news release from transportation officials.

Driver charged after Salem school bus crash
SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) - A driver has been charged in connection with a school bus crash in Salem Wednesday. Salem Police say they responded to the crash at the intersection of S. College Avenue and 8th Street just after 4 p.m. The investigation into the crash led to an “elderly male driver” being charged with failure to yield the right of way at an intersection controlled by a stop sign. Police have not released the name or specific age.
