Man arrested on murder charge after woman found dead in Keystone
Hillsborough deputies have arrested a man on a murder charge after a woman was found dead July 15 in a home in Keystone. Deputies responded about 4:45 a.m. to a 911 call about a woman found unresponsive inside a home on Crescent Road, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies found the woman dead with signs of upper body trauma.
Traffic builds on U.S. 41 in Gibsonton while crews battle nearby house fire
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Traffic built on U.S. 41 in Gibsonton Monday morning while the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue battled a house fire nearby. Firefighters said they battled a fire at an abandoned home at 12155 South US Highway 41 around 4 a.m. Several 911 calls reported seeing a large fire a distance off the road.

According to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, crews were called around 4 a.m. Monday to U.S. 41, also known as the S Tamiami Trail, just south of Symmes Road after getting calls from multiple drivers reporting a large fire some distance from the road.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office detention deputy on child pornography charges. Detectives with HCSO’s Internet Predator Unit obtained a search warrant for a home in Lutz after receiving a tip from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office after the arrest of 33-year-old PCSO Detention Deputy Trevor Willis.

FHP: 73-year-old man riding scooter dead after being hit by car in Hillsborough County
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A 73-year-old man from Tampa is dead after he was hit by a car while riding a scooter, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said in a news release. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday, FHP said. The 46-year-old driver of a Hyundai Elantra was reportedly traveling southbound on Florida Avenue while the victim was riding just north of 122nd Avenue.
