    Hillsborough Hoops: Township Committee Honors Three Stars for Outstanding Seasons

    HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - Three standouts from the 2023-24 Hillsborough High School Varsity Baseketball team were honored for their outstanding seasons by the Township Committee at a recent meetng.

    Mayor Robert Britting, Jr. presented each of the seniors with a proclamation recognizing their accomplishments.

    Jayden Green was named to the First Team All-Skyland Conference and the First Team All-Division for basketball. Green was Student Council Treasurer, a Johns Hopkins CTY Scholar and the Hillsborough High School Varsity Boys Basketball Team captain. He volunteers for the Somerset Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity.

    Zion Harrison was named to the First Team All-Skyland Conference and was the Coach’s Player of the Year 2023-2024. Harrison was also team captain in 2021-2023 and 2023-2024. In addition, Zion plays on the Varsity Football Team and is an active member and volunteers at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in New Brunswick.

    Philip Unangst was selected to the First Team All-Skyland Conference and the Second Team All-Area for basketball. He led the team in points, rebounds, and blocks. He has volunteered for St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.
