HILLSDALE — A Hillsdale woman and passenger of a motorcycle was injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday in Moscow.

Hillsdale County Sheriff's Deputies and other emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of U.S. 12 and Moscow Road Saturday afternoon for a report of a woman lying in the roadway with a possible head injury from a crash.

A preliminary investigation showed that Logan Robert Pierce, 19, of Manchester was traveling westbound on E. Chicago Rd (U.S. 12) when he failed to stop in assured clear distance and sideswiped a motorcycle driven by Lonnie Rae Clark, 57 of Hillsdale and passenger Stacy Lynn Clark, 51, of Hillsdale.

This caused Clark to rear-end Paul David Foco, 47, of Freeland.

Stacy Clark was transported by Somerset EMS to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson for injuries sustained.

Pierce and Foco were wearing their seatbelts and did not report any injuries.

Pierce was issued a citation for unable to stop in assured clear distance, police said.

I hope and pray the motorcycle passenger will come out of this horrible accident alright. Head injuries are nothing to mess around with. Prayers and best wishes for this motorcyclist and his wife.
