BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Days after dodging questions from the WAFB I-TEAM, Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome has now come clean about the demise of a top aide. She made the comments during an interview on morning radio Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Broome now admits the aide stepped down due an issue related to violence. The alleged act of violence happened outside of a Baton Rouge lounge, where the WAFB I-TEAM is told a video shows a woman appearing to be Courtney Scott whacking a man across the head with a folding chair.
