MSP: Corrections officer arrested for drug possession

COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a corrections officer at the Lakeland Corrections Facility was arrested for drug possession.

Michigan State Police said that on June 12, the Michigan Department of Corrections asked the Marshall Post for help with an investigation into Mark Everett Goodlock, 43, of Hillsdale, a corrections officer at the prison.

Goodlock was searched before his shift at the Lakeland Corrections Facility, arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Branch County Jail, according to MSP.

State police said Goodlock was arraigned, posted bond and released from jail. However, he was arrested on June 21 for an alleged violation of his bond conditions.
