HILLSDALE — Tuesdays in the Park has returned for another year, bringing free live music to Mrs. Stock’s Park weekly throughout the summer.

It is open to anyone from the community or surrounding areas.

Michelle Loren, the City of Hillsdale recreation director, said that the 2024 concert series has been a great success already.

“As it has been for years, the 2024 season has been very well received by people from all over, some from out of state,” Loren said. “We look forward to the remaining weeks.”

In the next few weeks, a variety of bands will be playing.

On July 30, Refiner’s Fire Brass Quintet will perform, followed by Victor Traschel on August 6.

Traschel will perform jazz and other big band vocals.

Loren said she is glad for an event that brings the community together.

“It’s an opportunity for people to gather and enjoy some music and lighthearted conversation,” she said.

It also allows attendees to explore Mrs. Stock’s Park.

“Tuesdays in the Park has been a highlight since the inception of the park. It carries out the vision of Mary Anne MacRitchie, who spearheaded the enormous undertaking of the park’s renovation project bringing it back to its original beauty,” Loren said. “The concerts give a reason for gathering and enjoying all the beauty and relaxation the park has to offer our community.”

All concerts start at 7:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, as seating is not provided.

Mrs. Stock’s Park is located in downtown Hillsdale, at 120 E. Bacon St.
