Starbucks set to reopen Thursday
The Starbucks at 7231 Madison St. is set to reopen July 25 after nearly two months of being closed for major renovations. . Much of the inside of the building has been redone, including an all-new cafe area, bar and back-of-house. The Starbucks’ seating has been cut by about half, though the work area for staff is much larger, according to officials from DeJames Builders, the contractor who completed the renovations.

A 17-year-old boy became the victim of a shooting incident on Tuesday evening at a Chatham neighborhood gas station on Chicago's South Side, according to authorities. The Chicago Sun-Times reported the teenager was inside a vehicle around 5:30 p.m. in the 8300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when he was approached and shot by an unidentified assailant.

Detectives served an arrest warrant in the 7000 block of Birch Ave. in Hammond earlier this week, arresting 35-year-old Darrell Graham from Chicago.
