Downtown Louisville skyscraper repossessed after defaulting on $28 million loan
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A judge recently placed a Louisville skyscraper in a receivership after its owners defaulted on a $28 million loan, according to new court documents. A lawsuit was filed in June by lender Wilmington Trust National Association in Jefferson County Circuit Court, and accused the owners of the Meidinger Tower of failing to make a monthly payment of $142,204.82 last November. The plaintiffs also claim the owners have not made a payment in any subsequent month.

Bad Wires is an eccentric power trio dabbling in punk, noise rock, prog, metal, general weirdness and sheer volume that blends primal energy with technically proficient musicianship. Based out of the fertile music scene in Louisville, Kentucky, Bad Wires has its origins in bassist Corey Cottrell’s departure from Austin, Texas, in 2016. Cottrell had several songs he had started working up for one of his previous bands,(Bellringer, fronted by Mark Deutrom of the Melvins) which he continued working on after resettling in Louisville.
10-year-old affected by shootings asks for youth violence in Louisville to stop
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three more young people were shot in Louisville on Sunday night. A juvenile is dead and two others are injured after a shooting in the Klondike neighborhood around 11:30 p.m. Police found two boys, who appeared to be teenagers, with gunshot wounds in a parking lot in the 6500 block of Six Mile Lane. One boy died at the hospital while another remains in critical condition. A third victim, also a teenage boy, was found a short time later in St. Matthews.

2 charged following shots fired incident in Rockfield
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – A Louisville man and Bowling Green man are facing charges related to a shots fired incident in Rockfield. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a shots fired call early Monday morning. Deputies say the complainant stated that the suspects fled the scene in a motor vehicle toward Russellville Road.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville woman was arrested over the weekend after her newborn baby was found dead in a trash bag inside her vehicle. Louisville Metro police officers responded to the 700 block of Zorn Avenue on Saturday on a report of a baby placed in a bag and hidden inside a closet, according to an arrest citation. Officers located a bag inside a closet with possible blood on it, and covered in flies.
