Free shuttle service to Hilton Head’s Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina July 4th celebration

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, Sc. (WSAV) – To ensure a safe and smooth entry and exit from the Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina’s July 4th celebration, free shuttle service is being offered.

The service will be from the parking lot at the Hargray building near Fresh Market. Parking is free at the lot.

Attendees will be shuttled to the HarbourFest events from 5:30 p.m.-10:30 pm., with several shuttles running continuously.

Anyone walking or biking from Palmetto Dunes on July 4th over to Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina must utilize the pedestrian underpass that passes underneath Hwy 278. The bridge is located near the entrance to Palmetto Dunes (on the right side of the road if you are exiting) and is connected to the bike path.

Fireworks will begin over Broad Creek after the sky turns dark . In addition, entertainer and musician Shannon Tanner will perform his family show from 6:30 – 7:15 p.m., followed by a special patriotic Parrot Palooza Sunset Celebration through the fireworks.

The July 4th HarbourFest celebration is free and open to the public. Food and drinks are available for purchase at select vendors and restaurants. Coolers are not allowed at the event.

Other family entertainment will be provided by Cappy the Clown from 6:00-9:00 pm, with face painting, balloon animals, sand art, glitter tattoos and a variety of interactive games and activities.

Bounce houses and train rides around the marina promenade will be available at an additional cost.
