America is full of breathtakingly beautiful natural scenery, from expansive forests stretching hundreds of miles along mountain ranges to wonders of nature that formed over millions of years into the awe-inspiring sights we know today to swaths of coastal shores offering views of the ocean as far as the eye can see.

Travel + Leisure compiled a list of the 50 "most beautiful places in the U.S.," detailing the most gorgeous spot in each state that showcases the true beauty of America. According to the list, the most beautiful place in South Carolina is Hilton Head Island Bike Trails . These trails offer a more scenic way to explore the beauty of the island while still catching the "best spots" there are to see.

Here's what the site had to say:

"Wide beaches may be a big draw, but Hilton Head locals and vacationers alike praise the island's bike trail system for low-key cruising (and for bypassing road traffic, which can be intense). The 64-mile, well-maintained network is easy to navigate and takes you to some of Hilton Head Island's best spots, like Sea Pines Forest Preserve. A bike ride is especially lovely in the late afternoon, as the sun begins to set over the marshes."
