Not the elusive Roslindale bull, but couple still sees something startling up in their hillside backyard this morning
Pass reports from the area of Beech Street and Alpheus Road on Roslindale's Grew Hill that this morning he and his wife looked out into their backyard this morning and spotted a foraging deer - not something that particular area is known for (down the hill at the George Wright Golf Course or Sherrin Woods, sure):

An emergency Red Sox-Angels trade to end Alex Cora's bullpen madness
Things haven't gone to plan for the Boston Red Sox coming out of the All-Star break, even though no one in their right mind would've ever thought it would be easy. Despite having late-game leads in the first two contests against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Alex Cora's team has watched his bullpen cost him the game and drop back into a tie for the third AL Wild Card spot.
It's obvious Alex Cora is setting himself up for a Craig Counsell contract
Alex Cora has managed the 2024 Boston Red Sox to 11 games over .500 at the All-Star break. Their recent tear has increased calls from fans to extend the skipper. But since the beginning of the season, Cora has been vague about his hopes for the future. MLB experts have suggested that the Red Sox front office should throw a blank check at Cora soon to keep him in Boston, but the manager has given no indication that he hopes to come back next year.

Cloudy and dry Sunday with some pop-up showers this evening
Warm with sunshine, low humidity, and a few ‘building’ clouds Sunday afternoon as a cold front drops through southern New England. Much of the afternoon looks to be on the dry side, but a few isolated ‘pop up’ showers and storms can’t be ruled out through this evening. Highs reach the mid to upper 80s, low 80s at the beaches along with a northwest wind.

The bill, which still must be reconciled...
Celtics legend Dave Cowens showing off his shooting touch at 67
It had been decades since Hall of Fame Boston Celtics big man and Florida State legend Dave Cowens picked up a basketball as a player. But the then-67-year-old Celtics icon put on a shooting clinic in 2016 at his alma mater in Tallahassee, Florida. The two-time Boston champion sank shot after shot without breaking a sweat in this clip embedded below, only missing the first underhanded free throw he attempted, and making up for it with another made shot backward over his head. No word on whether the former NBA Most Valuable Player of 1973 is planning a comeback with that...
Hernández and Smith rally Dodgers past Red Sox 7-6 in 11 innings
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Will Smith singled with the bases loaded and one out in the 11th inning to drive in Kiké Hernández as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied for a 7-6 win over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. Smith lined a base hit to center field off Greg Weissert (2-2) to give the Dodgers the victory. “It was back and forth all game. It was a fun one to come out on top of,” Smith said. “Just trying to get a pitch to hit and get in the air.” Hernández was the automatic runner at second base to begin the 11th. He advanced to third on pinch-hitter Cavan Biggio’s sacrifice bunt. Chris Taylor walked and Shohei Ohtani was intentionally walked to set the stage for Smith, who delivered the sixth walk-off hit of his career and first since 2022.
