Adams Theater Presents 'Night at the Speakeasy'
ADAMS, Mass. — The Adams Theater will present a multi-night engagement in collaboration with Great Barrington Public Theater, "Night at the Speakeasy," directed by Wendy Welch, from August 22-25. "Night at the Speakeasy" features the voice and acting skills of Janelle Farias Sando carrying the audience back to the days of bootleg clubs, flappers, dance marathons, zoot suits and freedom through music, song and intemperance, according to a press release.

Holyoke Library Regains Tax-Exempt Status
Holyoke Public Library announced in a press release shared on July 25 that the library’s tax-exempt status has been reinstated by the federal government. According to the press release, this reinstatement is retroactive to November 2023 and “contributions made to our organization are deductible for federal income tax purposes.” The library lost its tax-exempt status after failing to file required documentation with the IRS for several years in a row.
