Salamanca Dominates Olean to Win 11-1
SALAMANCA, NY — It’s not often that two teams combine for more runs than hits, but that is what happened Sunday night in Salamanca. The Oilers were dominated by the Lizards, who scored more runs than the Oilers had base runners. With a total of eight base runners for the entire game, the Oilers fell to the Lizards 11-1. The game was stopped in the eighth inning because of the 10-run mercy rule.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER The Oilers struggled to produce any offense against the Lizards' Josh Martos, who only allowed three hits, three walks and two hit-batters over the eight innings.
