LE MARS, Iowa (KCAU) — Dates have been set for when three lawsuits against the Hinton Community School District will go to trial.

The first one is set to begin on Nov. 11, 2025. The second is scheduled to start on Jan. 13,2026, and the third is set to get underway on Feb. 17, 2026. All three trials will take place at the Plymouth County Courthouse.

The lawsuits allege that abuse was taking place in the school’s wrestling program. They claim that the assistant coach, former head coach, and former athletic director “encouraged” bullying, hazing, and violence by the students on the team.

The three lawsuits are also accusing the school district of knowing about what was going on but failing to address it.
