Food, Fun, & Vendors event returns to Water Festival for second year

HINTON, WV (WVNS) — The Water Festival kicks off this weekend in Summers County, but there is one event that is designed to encourage more people to come out.

The Food, Fun, and Vendors event promises “A Taste of New River”. There will be several food trucks, a variety of vendors, and live music at the Rivertown Stage in Hinton.

City Manager Cris Meadows said this year will be better than ever.

“So, the difference this year is we have a few…few new vendors, a few of the same. People liked some of the same vendors. And then they’ll be just in a different location. I think it’s a little bit more organized and I think it’ll be a nicer experience for everybody.” said Meadows.

Meadows said there will be games and activities for children this year as well. Some of the returning food trucks include Kobe Asian Fusion and Francie’s Sweets.

This is the first year for Almost Heaven Smokehouse and Fun Time Food.

Food, Fun, and Vendors begins at 4 P.M. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, and is located behind the Memorial Building and down 2nd Avenue.
