Woman arrested after screaming profanity outside apartment complex

HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman was arrested after screaming profanity outside an apartment complex.

On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at approximately 8:54 AM, a Summers County Deputy was sent to Summers Landing Apartments located in Hinton, WV 25951, in response to reports of a woman screaming and using profanity outside the complex.

Upon arrival, the deputy encountered a woman identified as Carolyn J. Huffman, hereafter referred to as the accused, who was approaching him. The deputy noticed a strong smell of alcohol on her breath, and she admitted to consuming several alcoholic drinks.

The accused then began yelling and swearing while in the public parking lot of the apartment complex, where tenants were gathered in a common area.

The deputy instructed her multiple times to cease her behavior, but she refused to comply and continued to act disorderly. The deputy subsequently placed the accused in handcuffs and arrested her for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
