EDWARDS, CO - July 2021 was a meaningful month for Vail Health Shaw Cancer Center as this month marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Vail Health's well-equipped cancer treatment center. Of course, this is a long and proud milestone.

Located in the mountainous region of Colorado, Vail Health Shaw Cancer Center has a good reputation for the residents of Colorado and its surroundings for treating their cancer. Like Dr. Patricia Hardenbergh and her team, medical experts created several breakthroughs, such as Jack's Place in 2007. A 12-room accommodation for cancer patients.

Not only that, but Dr. Patricia also pioneered the Spirit of Survival. A program for cancer fighters consisting of several classes such as fitness classes, meditation, acupuncture, nutrition classes, and support groups.

Shaw Cancer Center always puts the health of its patients first by using the same cutting-edge technology as hospitals in big cities. The entire oncology team always tries to provide particular therapy by looking at the patient's case first. There is radiation therapy using Image Guided Radiation Therapy Linear Accelerator, Sonnenalp Breast Center services for people with breast cancer, and continuous research to improve patient care.

Moreover, Shaw Cancer Center has further developed its good reputation by successfully obtaining gold accreditation from the Commission on Cancer (CoC). CoC awarded it as the 2019 Outstanding Achievement Award for the best care facility.

Shaw Cancer Center comes from Harold and Mary Louise Shaw, who generously donated $18 million to build the site. Recently, Shaw Cancer Center managed to raise funds for the needs of Shaw's patients so that they can get free Spirit of Survival services.

In the future, Shaw Cancer Center hopes that it will provide more benefits for people who have cancer or those who haven't, to continue to provide education and other social events.
