    Adams County Emergency Rental Assistance Program, see if you are eligible

    ADAMS COUNTY, CO - Adams County offers residents of the county who need assistance to make rental payments because of financial hardships related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Adams County is in partnership with Commerce City Housing Authority, Brighton Housing Authority, and Maiker Housing Partners.

    The participant of this program will get help with past-due rent and/or utilities and payment of rent three (3) months forward. Rent payments are limited to three months forward and past-due rent and/or utilities can be paid if incurred after March 13, 2020.

    The participant of this program must meet these minimum criteria:

    (i) Qualify for unemployment or experienced reduced household income, incurred significant cost, or experienced financial hardships, directly or indirectly, due to the COVID-19 pandemic,

    (ii) At the risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability,

    (iii) Rent a home in Adams County,

    (iv) Have a household income below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI).

    There are several documents you need to submit in order to apply, such as ID, proof of income, proof of assets, lease or rental agreement, demonstration of housing instability risk, utility bills, past housing assistance, landlord contact information, and location of your rental.     The application opens on March 29, 2021, and will end until December 31, 2021, or until the funding is exhausted, unless otherwise extended by the United States Treasury.
