Kingston man accused of kidnapping, attempted strangulation
CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - A Kingston man is in the Carter County Jail, accused of kidnapping and trying to strangle a woman last week. According to court records, Jack Canada, 44, held the woman in a home against her will and attempted to strangle her. Oklahoma City, OK – An excessive heat warning is in effect for parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas from noon to 9 PM today. Residents should prepare for dangerously high heat index values up to 113 degrees in affected areas including Tulsa, Muskogee, and Bartlesville. A heat advisory has also been issued for the rest of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas with heat indexes expected to reach up to 109 degrees.
