Intermountain Health’s Transplant Program uses new organ saving device
MURRAY—A new state-of-the-art organ saving device being used by Intermountain Health’s Transplant Program has the potential to save more patients’ lives who are waiting for liver transplants that might otherwise die before their name comes up. Intermountain is the first in the state to use the device.
June precipitation runs above normal, except around St. George
June precipitation in Utah’s valleys was normal or above-normal in every region except for the St. George area, according to the state Division of Water Resources. “We received 0.7 inches of precipitation at our SCAN sites, which is 0.2 inches greater than during the month of May despite the fact that June is typically a drier month,” said Jordan Clayton, data collection officer with the Utah Snow Survey.
