St. Luke launches 'mini-ER on wheels'
Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network has created a "mini-ER on wheels" that adds physicians to the EMS response team, Lehigh Valley News reported July 22. The SUV is mostly equipped with what physicians would need for injury or illness outside a hospital setting. First responders can request an EMS physician to respond to the needs of patients with severe trauma or illness.
TCNJ to provide room and board to local community college students
EWING — Come the fall semester, the housing situation at The College of New Jersey will be different than ever before. TCNJ and Mercer County Community College have worked out a deal where TCNJ will provide room and board to its students, according to a release from MCCC. The partnership “for the Fall 2024 semester and beyond” will also offer MCCC students special rates for the accommodation.
Police: Man arrested, officers seize drugs after investigation in Allentown
ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Police in Allentown say they arrested a man and seized suspected fentanyl and ecstasy pills after an investigation. Tyrone Fowler, 50, of Philadelphia, faces charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, according to a news release from the Allentown Police Department.

Plenty of racing action took place throughout the Mid-Atlantic this past week. Here’s a look at the “three stars” of each track:. FIRST STAR: DORNOCH. Monmouth Park hosted their signature race, the grade 1 Haskell Stakes, on Saturday. Belmont Stakes winner Dornoch earned his fourth career stakes victory in an exciting stretch battle, once again fending off the late rally of Mindframe, who finished second to Dornoch in the Belmont as well, and crossing the wire 1 1/4 lengths in front. He covered 1 1/8 miles on a fast main track in 1:50.31 for an ownership group led by West Paces Racing LLC, trainer Danny Gargan, and jockey Luis Saez.
