Esther L. Harvey, 94, Macungie, Pennsylvania; died July 19, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born August 8, 1929, in Ehrenfeld, daughter of William and Annie M. (Gray) Harvey. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Meriam Dishong, Annie E. Harvey, Willa R. Harvey, and Helen L. Harvey; and brothers, Roy and David Harvey. Survived by brothers, Robert, Florida; and Bruce, Allentown; 7 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews, and 16 great great nieces and nephews. Whether it was renditions of classic hymns, beloved standards, or holiday favorites, Jim Nabors’ music had a special place in Esther’s heart. She was an avid reader; particularly of murder mysteries, loved putting puzzles together, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. She enjoyed her work in retail prior to retiring. But her greatest devotion was to her family, and she will be greatly missed by them. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25 and from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday, July 26 at Charles O.
