Two People Wanted For Retail Thefts From Warrington
Warrington Police are looking for two people in unrelated retail thefts that happened recently. The male in the above photo is wanted for stealing $141.95 in shampoo from the Wegmans store. Police said that he put it into a shopping cart and wheeled it out of the store without paying for any of it. This happened on June 13, 2024. Police just released the photo two days ago.
Judge sentences man who raped 15-year-old girl in Quakertown
QUAKERTOWN, Pa. - A man who raped a 15-year-old girl in Quakertown last year has learned his sentence. A Bucks County judge sentenced Miguel Angel Sanchez, 33, of Sellersville, to 12 ½ years to 25 years in state prison for the October 2023 incident, according to a news release from the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

DeSales Announces Partnership with Diocese of Allentown
On Friday, August 9, DeSales University announced a dual enrollment agreement with the Diocese of Allentown and four of its high schools. Notre Dame High School of Bethlehem, Central Catholic High School of Allentown, Nativity B.V.M. High School in Pottsville, and Marian Catholic High School in Tamaqua all entered the agreement, which will allow students to complete courses while in high school that automatically result in transcripted high school and college credit at the successful conclusion of the course. Credit will then be recognized and applied to degree completion at DeSales or other institutions.

A first in the Lehigh Valley: New outdoor fitness court is free to use
Fitness enthusiasts or those just starting out exercising, have a new spot in the Lehigh Valley to pursue the healthy endeavor, and its free. In Upper Nazareth Township, people gathered Saturday for the formal dedication of a new fitness court at Leibert Park, which is the first of its kind locally, according to a national organization that helped install hundreds of similar courts elsewhere in Pennsylvania and nationwide. The outdoor gym can provide a full-body workout in as little as seven minutes. The features of the court focus on seven zones: core, squat, push, lunge, pull, agility and bend. The court has various step blocks, and objects to push or pull. It is also geared for people of all fitness levels and those wanting to spend more time. About one-half of the gym has an open space on which group exercise classes will be held. In between is a wall with artwork of the Nazareth region depicting several landmarks, including the Martin Guitar factory in the township. C.F. Martin & Co. is one of the donors of the approximately $300,000 facility.
