TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - Temple community members come together to hold a benefit for a Speegleville family that lost their house in a fire. Donna and Russ Pruitt recently lost their house in the Speegleville suburb of Waco. The fire department was unable to determine the cause of the fire. The house was unsalvageable.

Teenager dead in China Spring ATV accident
CHINA SPRING, Texas (FOX 44) – A 14-year-old is dead after an ATV accident in China Spring. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a crash on Whispering Oaks Drive in China Spring at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday. The preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a Polaris ATV became distracted, lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and crashed.
