… An FCC decision has enabled the religious group Holy Mother Mary to get its application for a new low-power FM reinstated. The Media Bureau initially dismissed its application for an LPFM licensed to Cascade, IA at 98.7 FM, saying the application failed to meet minimum distance spacing requirements to a vacant co-channel Class A FM licensed to Ashbury, IA. The FCC says that remains the case, but it is reinstating the application and giving Holy Mother Mary 30 days to offer a fix. But it says one amendment already offered — to change the LPFM to 93.5 FM — won’t be considered because it would qualify as a major amendment.
